ME2 LSB The old gang is back

WHEW!!! After three evenings full of anything i finally managed to colorise this work! I began it some times after finishing the last (fantastic) DLC of mass effect 2, the well known Lair of the Shadow Broker.


No need to describe how awesome ME2 is, despite shortened missions the writing staff has made miracles with the differents plots, moods and characters, making this game truely living and unique. However my regrets went on two old pals you're meant to meet: the squadie you have'nt vyrmired and most of all Liara. Despite her situation as an information broker you're left with a mini quest and some explanations about her new behaviour. Of course it was coherent (and somewhat moving about her motivations and reasons to have given Shep's body to cerberus) but i left with an impression of... missing things.

At least until the new DLC came out to rectify the things And then, it was like a bash in the face: a true mini scenario, action sequences on multiple levels, a car chase, humourous banters and most of all one of the best dialogues i ever saw in a game. Without forgetting the return of Liara as a squadmate and there, "like good old times" has never been this meant. It was a great pleasure to live again an adventure with my classic trio, the Liara's new design is perfect as well as her new texturing as well as her abilities making her even more unique (stasis and singularity are damn useful)

The writting is close to perfection, where we could have fallen in cliché romance and quest for revenge we had instead first class situations: nobody is a saint, neither Shepard, Liara and the other protagonists, everyone has its reasons and motivations and most of all anyone has to make sacrifices to move on. Liara has taken back her place as old friend/lover, opens herself and allow Shepard to "break the glass" of his/her hero status and sets her place in the third opus.
In fact we have'nt here a simple DLC but a real test of what mass effect 3 could be in term of plot and level design. Something was missing in ME2? Bioware corrects it by offering the best mission of the whole game and proving one more time that games could bring more than a mere enjoyment and invade the sacred grounds of the 7th art.


About this work then i remained in a static posing style, it was a bit hard to redraw the armors as i had'nt precise shots to use as references and mostly drew them by mind. However i really think i should inking directly on the tablet as i lost a lot of time by cleaning the blue pencil lines. However it did'nt reduced the fun i had, it was a big challenge but i decided to take my time to make the best work possible, i hope i ended on something good ^^
