Playin' in the 70's XCOM UFO Defense by Margenal Playin' in the 70's XCOM UFO Defense by Margenal
This time i'm attacking a big monument of gaming, X-COM the first!!!

I always have been a fan of tactical games and this one deserves the crown of the best of the best, the emperor, the unequaled and neverending legend.
I only played it a few in my youth, having other great games like Heroes III or Jagged Alliance 2 to rediscover it in my adult years and i honnestly never felt so much freedom ad threat feeling. You are alone, without hints not help and the only one you can get is the one you can find by yourself, combat, research, base layout, everything is under your command, for the better and the worse because this game is ruthless and merciless: instant death, mental control, panic, the aliens are far superior and you have to hunt them, track them with anything you have and to best them, by any means necessary...

For this cover i focused myself on the core of X-COM history: a shadow organisation secretly founded to save the world, so the faceless G-Man and the mythic Geoscape with menacing UFO floating around the earth. Simplicity for a better lisibility, i hope you will appreciate.

Thanks for your support and don't hesitate to give your opinion, enjoy!!!

Jesus! this is almost too perfect and your description on x-com just sums it up in the best possible way! i like the art style as well. this would make an excellent wallpaper along with a manual cover for the original manual which i'm glad i have the damn thing i've kept the manual just incase if i ever get a another copy of the game but fortunately for me its on steam and i'm enjoying the hell outta of it!  :D (Big Grin)

Wow you have the original game on material support? how lucky you are!

I only downloaded X-Com1 but bought the 2012 Remake collector's box, some people call it a betrayal, personally it's a good modern reboot, not as modular nor unforgiving, but a proud successor...
